Seeing that Excalibur Prime already exists, and that Excalibur Umbra has its own space in Warframe lore, I would like to imagine future Umbra warframes, with distinct stories and histories separate from their Prime counterparts. I believe Umbra, in general, have the potential to further explore the details of the Old War. The other half is the Tenno, with their ability to tame the warframe and channel their mind through Transference, uniting the two into one entity. The Sacrifice shows us that Excalibur Umbra was half of Orokin's notion of duality: a body, whose mind was corrupted and reduced to a perpetual memory on loop. We now know that Ballas created Excalibur Umbra from a Dax, and psychologically tormented him, causing Umbra to retain its sentience and consciousness, albeit in a state of trauma and rage. Prior to The Sacrifice, the Primed warframes were to go-to case for these measures. It is not hard to imagine that during the Old War, desperate measures were taken to ensure the Orokin's victory. Rhino Prime's codex entry reveals a great deal about the instability in many of the Prime's psyche, as a cause of the torture they endured to the acts of destruction they were forced to carry out. Rather, I would like to introduce the notion that an Umbra for Rhino may not be far-fetched. My point here is not to say that Rhino Prime is an Umbra. To paraphrase from The Sacrifice, the Orokin believed in a duality of mind and matter, and in this scene we see Rhino recognizing this duality in itself. This is similar to the Shadow Stalker's behavior during The Second Dream, when it learned of the secret behind the warframes, that they are just metal puppets controlled by Tenno operators. In the second part, we see Rhino standing still at the door frame, unwilling/unable to enter, where the Zariman children are kept. In The Sacrifice, we see the horrendous methods Ballas (and by extension, the Orokin) used to create their Void-driven machines of war by exposing human subjects to the Infestation, Ballas forged these creations to combat his foes. Of the other warframes, Primed and un-Primed, few have specific sources of lore detailing the horrors the Orokin inflicted upon them. In the part part, Rhino seems to recognize the narrator and their ancestors and remembers the pain they inflicted to Rhino and the others. I've never seen this cell, a cold place with an array of shelves. I crawl up the wall to stand, opposite the door. Davis whispers, "No one would have believed me." Davis is panting, laughing? The beast fills the doorway, inches from him, dripping in blood, but still without violence. He shouts, "Watch!" over the roaring and rending of metal. Suddenly I could live through this I shout, "Davis, close the goddamn door!" - But he shakes his head eyes wide as moons. I see Davis standing at the open door, waiting, as the monster tears towards us.
